Navy Cyber Appears To Be Top Priority

In what looks like a clear message that the Navy is putting high technology at their forefront, the Navy’s former head of the US Cyber Command’s Navy component (Tenth Fleet) will be nominated to be the Chief of US Naval Operations – the CNO.

He is currently the Director of the Joint Staff at the Pentagon. He is the former Commander of Carrier Strike Group 8.

Perhaps “putting cyber as top priority” is going too far, but he, by far, is the most experienced at cyber in the current former set of possible nominees.  His selection, over all the other four star admirals, is surely thought provoking.
