Russian FM Spokesperson, Ms. Zakharova, and TASS have entirely too much time on their hands. Ms. Zakharova accused the West of NOT publishing news about the Skripal assassination attempt, reports TASS in the below article.
The phrase, “as if”, is used as an accusation without evidence, “as if” to make stuff up. Also, yes, “let’s speak openly” about this issue. Next is a reference to a mythical “order for everyone to keep silent”. All in one unbelievable sentence near the beginning of an unbelievable article, spoken by an unbelievable spokesperson for the Russian Foreign Ministry.
British journalists lapsed into silence in a day as if [Ed: emphasis added], let’s speak openly, there had come an order for everyone to keep silent.
Contrary to some State-funded and State-controlled “news outlets”, media outlets in the West don’t report on events not happening, “as if” there is nothing to report. Using a deliberate double negative, Western media does not report no news.
As opposed to TASS, Western news organizations don’t wield accusations “as if” to make an implication into proof.
So yes, “let’s speak openly”, TASS and Ms. Zakharova. It did cease to be interesting. There is no new evidence. The only new accusations have been made by Russian media. The only new evidence has not been shown to support any Russian allegations, only still shots extracted from footage from Syrian filmmakers, which casts further doubt on subsequent Russian claims and accusations. Only Russia has offered over 20 different alternative theories obfuscating British singular claims of Russian complicity.
TASS and Ms. Zakharova, which “order for everyone to keep silent”? As is so popular to be said by the Russians, “prove it”. Where is your evidence for such a wild claim? Yeah, I didn’t think so.
As Russia continues to dig a hole further and deeper beneath their credibility, we can only hope that hole does not become their grave. It has already buried their reputation, and, oops, there goes their credibility.
Russian diplomat slams UK media’s sudden blackout on Skripal case

“British journalists lapsed into silence in a day as if there had come an order for everyone to keep silent”, said Maria Zakharova
MOSCOW, April 29. /TASS/. Russia’s Foreign Ministry will not leave without attention the investigation into the poisoning of former Russian GRU Colonel Sergei Skripal and his daughter Yulia, as Moscow has information for the public, the ministry’s Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said in the Sunday Evening with Vladimir Solovyev program on Rossiya’1 television channel.
“British journalists lapsed into silence in a day as if, let’s speak openly, there had come an order for everyone to keep silent. They have all lapsed into silence. Therefore, there is no any Skripal case in the British media. It ceased to be interesting. Nobody is looking for anyone, nobody is carrying out any investigations, nobody is demanding from the British side either photos or videos of the affected persons, or as we have been told, the affected persons,” Zakharova said.
“The case does not exist in the media space. Nevertheless, without any doubt, Russia’s Investigative Committee, Russia’s Embassy to the United Kingdom and Foreign Ministry will be cheering them up with news from the front. We have something to tell them,” she said.
According to London, former Russian military intelligence officer Sergei Skripal, who had been sentenced in Russia for spying for the UK, and his daughter Yulia, 33, suffered the effects of an alleged nerve agent in the British city of Salisbury on March 4. Claiming that the substance used in the attack had been a Novichok-class nerve agent developed in the Soviet Union, London rushed to accuse Russia of being involved in the incident. Moscow rejected all of the United Kingdom’s accusations, saying that a program aimed at developing such a substance had existed neither in the Soviet Union nor in Russia.
The father and daughter came out of the coma. According to Salisbury District Hospital, Sergei Skripal remains under medical supervision in the hospital and his health is improving, while Yulia Skripal has been discharged and is recovering in an unspecified location.
