Russia Officially Invents New Theory Blaming UK

Russia officially blames the UK for the assassination attempt on Col Skripal and his daughter.

Demand? “These statements leave us no choice but to forcefully demand full information on the progress of the investigation, as well as the disclosure of the program for the production of warfare agents in Porton Down.

…the British side actually confirmed that this secret facility is developing and studying new components of chemical warfare agents.  It is noteworthy that Heinkenhead did not deny the existence of stockpiles of chemical weapons, including, apparently, the substance A-234, which, according to official statements of the British side, was used to poison the family of Violinists and Sergeant N. Beili.

Uh, no, most people don’t deny stockpiling chemical weapons when they are not, in fact, stockpiling chemical weapons. If Russia requires a denial of every accusation, I suggest one blanket denial by the UK in the form of “Russia did it”.  Oh, they already have?

THE EMBASSY COMMUNICATES

03/24/2018

Answer of the Embassy’s Press Secretary on a media question regarding the activities of the secret laboratory of the British Ministry of Defense in Porton Down

Q: How can you comment on the statement of G.Eytkenhead, head of the secret laboratory of the British Ministry of Defense in Porton Down, who stated about the strictest control measures that do not allow “anything to leak beyond the four walls of the object”? So, there is something to leak?

A: We also paid attention to these words of the head of the laboratory. Thus, the British side actually confirmed that this secret facility is developing and studying new components of chemical warfare agents. It is noteworthy that Heinkenhead did not deny the existence of stockpiles of chemical weapons, including, apparently, the substance A-234, which, according to official statements of the British side, was used to poison the family of Violinists and Sergeant N. Beili.

By the way, that such samples are available, hinted on March 19 in an interview with J. Nemtsova at the Deutsche Welle and British Foreign Minister B. Johnson.

These statements leave us no choice but to forcefully demand full information on the progress of the investigation, as well as the disclosure of the program for the production of warfare agents in Porton Down.
