Interesting Propaganda and Placement – The Daily Caller

Deripaska in 2012 Source: Wikipedia

At first, I didn’t want to touch this as the Daily Caller is biased way to the right. I read several dozen tweets about this from Democrats and then saw the “Never Trump” Republicans jumping on board.  All because somebody at the Daily Caller decided to publish a Russian Oligarch’s alternate reality piece aka propaganda.

The resulting Tweets by members of the left and the never-Trumpers are damning, to say the least. They have already begun saying “this is proof of collusion” with spittle flying out of their mouths and eyeballs bulging.

First, read this article, OLEG DERIPASKA OP-ED: The Ever-Changing ‘Russia Narrative’ Is False Public Manipulation Why someone made the decision to publish this article that belongs in the worst conspiracy theories on the internet in the Daily Caller is beyond rationality. Is somebody at the Daily Caller suddenly a Russophile?

Oleg Deripaska is the author. According to Wikipedia,

“Oleg Vladimirovich Deripaska is a Russian oligarch, aluminium magnate and philanthropist. He is the founder and owner of one of the largest Russian industrial groups Basic Element.?

Further down the Wikipedia article, Deripaska is shown to have close ties with Russian President Putin.  The Associated Press revealed a business relationship between Deripaska and Paul Manafort.

Now read through this tweetstorm:

Deripaska has a history of publishing short pieces in American papers, mostly to refute allegations against him.

This piece, however, is pure propaganda and those opposing Trump are using this to attack President Trump.

I do not know nor can I guess Deripaska’s motivation for penning this propaganda piece, but it promotes Russian national interests because it is helping sow chaos and division within the United States.
