VOA – What’s Up? You’re Copying Sputnik?

A friend pointed out a problem with a VOA healine.  See the picture below.

Mikheil Saakashvili made the wild claim to having been kidnapped, and that wild claim was then picked up by a number of reputable sources, but come on now…

Mikheil Saakashvili’s claim was wild, an attempt to get headlines, and just plain wrong.

The truth is that Mikheil Saakashvili was arrested in Ukraine, deported to Poland, and that’s the end of the story.

No, I don’t believe VOA stole their headline from Sputnik, but the similarities are just too close.

Be careful out there, people. Don’t get lured into wild, attention-grabbing headlines.
