The President says the issue of Ukraine’s sovereignty must unite all political forces

“I can’t wrap my head around what we’ve seen yesterday and today in the Verkhovna Rada. Former partners in the democratic coalition, people, who call themselves patriots and even Ukrainian nationalists, disrupt a vote… And which one? The one that recognizes Russia as aggressor by law, and its military – as occupants!” the President said.
He also accused a number of the MPs of the unwillingness to stick to Ukraine’s national interests, noting that the issue of Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity must all political forces.
“When hearing “who’s not jumping”, they jump higher than everyone (the full phrase goes “Who’s not jumping is a moskal”, where moskal is condescending for Russian – 112.int). And when it comes to a vote on an obvious interest of Ukraine – it’s as if they’ve been put under a spell. And some of them even have kosovorotkas sticking from under the vyshyvankas (traditional Russian shirts under the Ukrainian ones – 112.int), and kokoshniks on their heads (Russian headdress – 112.int).
As it was rewported earlier, in the second day of the discussion, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine approved, in principle, the so-called Donbas Reintegration draft law. Some of the Ukrainian MPs tried to block the vote yesterday, with blocking the podium, and today as well. This was happening at the backdrop of protests outside the Ukrainian Parliament.
