All the stories mentioned in this article were refuted almost immediately, by me. 

No sour grapes, it’s just inaccurate. 

Otherwise, this is a great synopsis of the entire incident.  Kudos to the Atlantic Council and New York Times for tracking down the original parody which became fake news which was used as propaganda.
