Russia’s Grand Strategy FUBAR

Anonymous expert – compilation, analysis, and reporting.

Russia messed up.  Big time.  Perhaps they are starting to realize their mistake.

Russia did not take Candidate Trump seriously and now President Trump is shoving them back – hard.

All Russia’s expectations of a compliant and subservient President Trump, all their fantasies and all their investments – are gone.   They’ve pissed off the beast and he has Russia square in his sights.

Russia is foolishly responding in the only way they know how. Bluff, bravado, and buffoonery. Pushing the limits and provocations.

I wonder how long Russia can keep up this charade before the Russian people realize the truth and get tired of him?

I also wonder why is Russia’s propaganda machine so slow to respond?  Why isn’t the whole ‘might and power’ of the Russian propaganda machine screaming about Trump?  Perhaps they’re not so mighty and powerful?

Might they be distracted with France?

Silly Russia, won’t they ever learn?

</end editorial>

I nearly choked on my coffee listening to Sean (Spicer) this morning “President Trump has made it very clear that he expects the Russian government to de-escalate violence in the Ukraine and return Crimea,” – evidently the Russians convinced themselves Amb Haley was freelancing.

The Russians foolishly spent the last 12 months treating Trump as a fool and exploiting him for propaganda purposes, rather than accepting that he was somebody who might forgive their past sins if they do the right thing and back off. Amazing unbridled unrepentant arrogance from Moscow – and unadulterated political stupidity of the royal order.

Now the Russians are trying to poke Trump in both eyes, out of spite. The more they try to damage Trump, the more he will retaliate – Trump’s favorite game, as he likes to boast, is two-tits-for-a-tat.

Russia cannot sustain a two-tits-for-a-tat game with the USA. It is strategic and economic suicide. Russia not only turned the Democrats and GOP in Congress into hostiles, they have also turned the US MSM against all things Russian, and now they have poisoned the relationship with the only person willing to forgive their misdeeds.

This will be so interesting to watch.

  1. I like to believe that Trump is on the straight and narrow, but he’s apparently lying about his knowledge about Flynn’s calls with Russia. This piece reads like opinion. It reads like propaganda. It is not fact. This is plausibly all cover for Trump so he doesn’t look like a Russian agent and the Russians are in fact protecting their investment by taking it on the chin and allowing a direct confrontation where ostensibly Trump and Putin are at odds, but still have a friendly back channel.
